We have just heard the very bad news that there will be reductions to the following bus services to and from Alton:
This is very bad news, especially for relatives trying to get to Basingstoke hospital on Saturdays. And it is quite unnecessary as the Liberal Democrat alternative budget showed earlier this year.
I have already emailed the Executive member for the Environment, who made the decision, to ask him for details of the number of passengers using these services over the last few months, and to ask him for the justification for cutting these services at a time when the planet needs fewer car journeys.
