TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR THE REVIEW OF EHDC'S APPROACH TO COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT
* To define by the end of the
Review what Community Development is for East Hampshire.
* To identify the impact of working through a Community Development
approach.
* To review and map the different
community activities in villages and towns in the District.
* To identify relevant examples of good and poor practice from
within and outside of East Hampshire.
* To
discover how a Community Development approach may help us achieve our
Community Strategy objectives in East Hampshire.
* To identify and establish the respective roles of EHDC, HCC,
parish and town councils and Voluntary Action for East Hampshire and other
partners in achieving these outcomes.
* To
identify any cultural, structural and training and development requirements
for EHDC and partner organisations arising from the review.
* To report to Cabinet and Council on the findings of the review,
and propose recommendations with information on the financial and resource
implications of any course of action.
